Disc Golf Course Design & Installation: West City Park Disc Golf Course- Festus, Missouri
West City Park is an 18 hole disc golf course with 2 tees and 2 pin placements per hole. This is one of the most picturesque and unique disc golf courses in the world. Utilizing the lay of the land in this state of the art design, the blend of open areas, hills, woods and use of lakes and creeks offers a different challenge on almost every hole. Long open holes with water hazards, followed by tight wooded shots with sloped greens and even holes with park type settings await!
The Creek or lake comes into play on 9 of the 18 holes and it is a true risk reward course that requires course management throughout! This course plays to a par 70 in all configurations and is not so tough to shoot under par from the short tees to the short pins. Stretched out though, from long tees to long pins ( usually only for tournaments) it can be a very challenging course for even the best players in the world!
Directions:Take Hwy. 55 south from St Louis to the Festus Exit (HWY A) go rt 1 mile to Collins rd. Go RT ½ mile to stop sign and go right 500 feet. Make a left onto main and go 2 miles to park on right. 1st hole starts at animal shelter on west side of park. Parking is at farthest west shelter near tee 9 and 18.
